  • Be Quick 1887 Be Quick 1887 is a historic football club from Groningen. For children aged 4 to 7 there is the “Minibouw,” with training sessions on Wednesdays and Fridays from 4:15 PM to 5:15 PM, led by certified coaches at the Esserberg Stadium (right next to the school). The Friday training is optional. Children can sign up for three free trial training sessions with no obligation

Art, culture and creativity

  • VRIJDAG  Cultural center in Groningen offering courses, workshops, and lessons in music, theatre, and visual arts, for all ages and skill levels.
  • MaaklabGro A makerspace for children. Every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM there is an “Open Maker Space” for young people aged 6 to 26. Supervisors help participants work on personal projects using different materials and tools.
  • Forum Groningen Groningen’s public libraries offer free library memberships for children. Check via Google Maps whether there is a branch near you. Forum also regularly organizes fantastic activities for children, especially during school holidays.
  • Gronings MuseumLook, listen, feel, create: are you creative and do you enjoy discovering new things? Then the Groninger Museum is the perfect place for you. Children and young people up to and including 18 years old have free admission to the museum.
